Snow, Snow, All Around

Yesterday it snowed! It was a beautiful sight. The campus of Mary Washington University gets so gorgeous when it snows. It is quite a treat for the eyes. I was lucky and had two of my classes canceled and another one canceled today! What luck! And you know what I did all day? Made songs about snow! Three of them just popped right out. It was astonishing at how much music I made yesterday. I realized that I now have 6 new songs for an upcoming release I'm planning. It'll probably be a full length with the amount of music that is coming into my head. I might as well make it count. And it's been since summer since my last full length release. It'll be good to get it out of my system again. The only bad thing about this weather is the effect it has on getting outdoors to run. It makes it difficult to say the least.

Now a poem! Err, if you can call it that...

Snow
Falling
From the sky
Onto the ground
Forging happiness

The snow really did create happiness for those on campus yesterday. It was such a jolly sight to see about 20 snowmen being created all over campus. It's kind of sad to think that people will be that outwardly positive only once the snow comes. However, I guess it would be hard to try and spread the same joy of creating snowmen when there is no snow. It was definitely an uplifting sight, to see everyone just so happy. It's so strange to think that something so simple can create such an effect on others. Snow is such a temporary occurrence, like most things in this world. I guess it's those simple times that create the most astounding phenomenon. This world is so frustrating something. Everything is always so complicated and stressful. It's apparent that when something so simple as snow can remind us of times which were simpler, we are able to shed those burdens for at least a few hours. And would you look at that, just talking it through and I've come out with an answer to my own pondering questions on the subject. Simplicity reminds us of easy times, creating happiness within us. How beautiful.
